Topics include environmental context of labor relations, the organizing process, the collective bargaining contract negotiation process, the administration of the collective bargaining contract, union effects on organizations and society, and comparisons of the U.S. labor relations system with labor relations systems in other countries.

Application of the legal principles governing government contracts as developed from common law, statutes, regulations, and court and board decisions. Includes requests for proposals, negotiation, inspection, acceptance, delivery, warranties, modifications of contracts, equitable adjustment, government furnished property, and disputes. Prerequisite: MGT 401.

The focus of this course is on the in-depth self-examination of skills, ability, personality, attitudes, values and behavior to increase self-awareness of leadership competencies. Students will also examine theories of leadership to develop insights for their personalized leadership development. MGT 301 or permission of instructor.
