This course introduces students to the MSUM Honors Program. Subjects covered include the requirements and expectations of being an honors student, Honors resources, the history and goals of the Honors Program, and assessments of student capacities concerning those goals. The main objective will be to prepare students for the Honors Program coursework and thesis/project, which will be accomplished through formal and informal discussions of topical issues, written assignments, guest faculty visits, off-campus visits, and reading of selected texts. Students will also be introduced to the Honors Experience requirements.
