Participants will utilizes the five principles of lean thinking (Value, Value Steam, Flow, Pull, and Perfection) to design/redesign a company's production flow and physical layout. Students will learn ways to do more with less - less human effort, equipment, time, and space - while coming closer to providing customers with exactly what they want. Students will be challenged to identify and eliminate various forms of waste. Students will learn the 5S method of visual workplace layout. Recommended to have manufacturing experience.
