An emphasis is placed on the effect and control of the primary technical factors of density, contrast, detail, and distortion. Prerequisites: Admission to the RADI program. It provides the learner with the knowledge and skills to apply the principles of radiographic exposure and technique to produce quality radiographs. Students will learn about radiographic contrast, detail, and the components of the xray equipment. Students will also be introduced to computer radiography. Prerequisites: RADI 104, 105, 121, 141 and 142. Typically Offered Spring only.

This course provides the student with the knowledge and skills necessary to properly process a diagnostic radiograph. It offers the basic concepts and principles of quality control in the radiology department. It serves as the precursor of RADI 201 that applies these principles in an actual radiology department. Prerequisites: RADI 106, 107, 122, 143 and 144.Typically Offered Summer only.
