The student is responsible for providing pharmaceutical care to patients in a variety of settings including acute-care, long-term care and ambulatory clinics. The student will participate in the care of geriatric patients as a member of a multidisciplinary team and will develop an understanding of his/her responsibilities in that setting. This will be facilitated through placement in a variety of clinical settings including hospital (institutional) practice, community practice and clinical practice and will be directed by affiliated Colleges of Pharmacy in the selected country. The rotation will expose the student to all facets of clinical research through extensive involvement in the development and conduct of a research project. Credit for the rotation is variable based on the scope of the project and may be applied as an elective clerkship. Pre- Requisites: PHPR 600. Typically Offered On Demand

Clinical Seminar is a capstone course showcasing a student's ability to take a relevant clinical question, conduct a comprehensive review of the literature, summarize the data and present their findings and conclusions logically and systematically in a written and oral format. The student will demonstrate acquisition of requisite speaking/teaching skills during the presentation section, and writing skills in the paper section. May be taken twice for multiple credit. Prerequisites: Concurrent enrollment in APPEs. Typically Offered Fall, Spring and Summer.

This introductory course explores important concepts of geology, oceanography, meteorology and astronomy in order to understand Earth as a system in which land, water, air and space continually interact through the exchange of matter and energy to form our physical environment.
