The course considers relevant topics in pathology and pathophysiology that demand more detailed scrutiny than can be afforded in the required pharmacology sequence. Special emphasis is placed upon areas as diverse as the biochemical and genetic basis of physchopathological disturbances, sleep disorders, common skin diseases, common inherited disorders such as cystic fibrosis and sickle cell anemia.
