Participants will use computers and other technologies in research, problem solving, and product development. Participants will use a variety of media, presentation, and authoring packages; plan and participate in team and collaborative projects that require critical analysis and evaluation; and present products developed. In addition, participants will apply instructional design principles to develop, implement, and test interactive multimedia instructional products using authoring environments. Designed to help the student understand the relationship between music soundtracks and the enjoyment of film. Emphasis on viewing and discussing films and soundtracks from the silent era chronologically through the beginnings of the sound era, the decline of the Hollywood studio system.
