ATR 476: Senior Fibers I: Fiber Art Thesis

Prerequisites: ATR 373, 378; or permission of instructor Current issues in fiber art, traditional and ethnic surface design and dyeing techniques (including shibori and indigo), and research topics are introduced as vehicles for artistic idea development leading to a personal body of work. Students choose from a variety of print, dye, sewn, woven, or mixed media techniques to solve each assignment. Projects are prepared for formal graduation exhibition and exit portfolio review.
