Multi-harness weave structures concentrating on complex twill patterns, dimensional surface effects, warp dyeing, and double weave. Pattern weave samples will be developed using Weavemaker, a CAD textile drafting program. Projects include aesthetic development of yardage for upholstery, multiple functional products and expressive art forms.

Prerequisites: ATR 278, 372; or permission of instructor Focus is on photo silkscreen printing process for pattern design on fabric, resist-dyeing techniques, sewn structures, and surface embellishment. CAD programs will be used for repeat unit and color trials, and color separation. Emphasis is on personal idea development based on research topics and nature drawing. Projects take the form of printed yardage fabrics, garment design and construction, and other expressive formats.
