This is an introductory course in conventional and digital dental radiology including didactic instruction in radiation physics, radiation biology, radiation hygiene and radiographic processing techniques. It also includes an introduction to the radiological interpretation of normal anatomy, caries, periodontal disease and periapical disease. The student receives supervision in taking and processing intra- and extra oral radiographs on manikins as well as patients. Prerequisites: BIOL 220, BIOL 222, DHYG 101.
