This course provides a framework for assisting transition from an LPN (LVN) to an associate degree nurse. Credit not allowed for more than one course from 1060 and 1050. Prerequisites: English 1010, 1020, Mathematics 1020, 1060, Chemistry 1070, Biology 2220, 2230, Orientation 1010, and fulfillment of Associate Degree Nursing Program admission criteria. Corequisites: Registration in or credit for Biology 1130, Sociology 1010.

The nurse's role in meeting man's basic needs,including an introduction to the nursing process and the concepts of comfort, rest, and sleep.
