This course is designed to help students research and prepare speeches for specific occasions within their chosen fields of study and to set up actual speaking engagements in which to test their skills. This course may be used by specific departments to handle the special communication problems in their area (e.g. livestock, agriculture, radio, televsion, nursing), or it might be used for non-specific fields, such as after-dinner speaking and emceeing with individual students focusing on their area of expertise.
