This course is designed to improve reading and study skills to help students be successful in their college classes. Students learn to study efficiently and effectively using good time management, memory techniques, note-taking, and test-taking skills. The core of the class will be spent improving reading comprehension skills such as locating the main idea and supporting details, recognizing fact and opinion, understanding inferences, and improving critical thinking skills. This course does not meet graduation requirements.
