This is an activity course in which students receive credit for participating in a minimum of 22 1/2 hours in plays, readers' theatre, speech or solo performances. This course may be repeated each semester for a total of four hours. (Offered every semester)

Students have supervised participation in all aspects of theatrical production (excluding acting or performance), including building and painting scenery, lighting, costumes, makeup, gathering properties, designing, stage managing, assistant directing, box office and design research. Twenty-two and a half (22 1/2) hours of work equate with one hour of credit. This course may be repeated each semester for up to a total of 12 hours of credit. (Offered every semester)

This course introduces the entrepreneurial student to the terms and concepts of community economic development and teh research tools necessary to analyze community economic activity, trends, proglems, location and market opportunities and prospects fro survival and growth. Decision making skills and strategic planning skills will be enhanced through synthesizing economic, cultural, sociological and geographical concepts as they relate to venture feasibility. The relationship of entrepreneurial creativity, successful community economic development and maintaining the wealth and culture of a local and regional society will be explored. (Offered fall semester)

This course is an introduction to the American economic system. Topics that will be covered include, GNP, economic growth, unemployment, inflation, deflation, aggregate supply and demand, fiscal policy, monetary policy, and other modern macroeconomic theories. Recommended at the sophomore level. (Offered both semesters)
