    Will focus on the practical aspects of conducting business with the aid of the internet. Though this is the third core course in the Web Site Development sequence and students are expected to understand many technological fundamentals, this is the first course which clearly presents the aspects of commerce on the internet. The fundamentals of e-commence will be introduced, and additional technological features are fire walls, web site security, defining, collecting, and analyzing web site data, hardware and software used in web servers, integration of a web server into a networked environment. It is assumed that students taking this course have a fundamental knowledge of networking, computer hardware and software, and the basics of Graphic Design and Web Site Design. Prerequisites: CS100 Introduction to Computer Science, CS155 Network Administration, CS204 Advanced Web Site Design with lab, and CS180 Fundamentals of Information Systems may be taken concurrently.

    The second of four courses leading to Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) designation. Focuses on initial router configuration, Cisco IOS software management, routing protocol configuration. TCP/IP, and access control lists (ACLs). Students will apply lessons from this course to a network and should be able to explain the how and why a particular strategy is used. Prerequisites: CS150 Fundamentals of Local Area Networks.

    The third of four courses leading to Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) designation. Focuses of Variable Length Subnet Masking (VLSM), intermediate routing protocols such as RIPv2, single-area OSPF, and EIGRP, command-line interface configuration of switches, Ethernet switching, virtual LANs (VLANs), Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), and VLAN Trunking Protocol (VTP). Prerequisites: CS240 Networking Technologies I.

    The last of four courses leading to the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) designation. Focuses on Network Address Translation (NAT), Port Address Translation (PAT), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), WAN technology and terminology, Pointto- Point Protocol (PPP), Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN), Dial-on-Demand Routing (DDR), Frame Relay, and network management.

    Is equivalent to Novell 532, Design and Implementation. Students will learn how to design and create an IntranetWare implementation. Much of the course work involves working with a case study company. Interactive group activities will help students assess the need of the case study company. Students will develop skills in design, analysis and integration of NDS implementation, determining directory tree structure and object placement, forming partition boundaries NDS object creation and security, and creating an implementation schedule for design integration. Prerequisites: Network Administration and Advanced Network Administration.

    Is equivalent to Novell 525, Intranet Ware: Netware 4.11 Advanced Administration. Students will develop skills of tuning the network and server for better performance and managing complex tree structures. Generally the course teaches how to oversee a complex NetWare 4 networking environment, including Novell Directory Services (NDS) partitioning and replication, time synchronization strategies, and integrating with NetWare 3. Skills also developed in this course include moving NDS containers, securing NDS resources, and integrating diverse network clients. Prerequisites: CS155 Network Administration.

    Is equivalent to Novell 804, Installation and Configuration. Students will work with a variety of scenarios upgrading, migrating, and installing. Students will develop skills related to upgrading from NetWare 3 to NetWare 4, installing NetWare 4 servers, configuring basic network resources in NDS, merging two NDS trees, troubleshooting NDS, and installing NetWare for Macintosh and Novell online documentation. Prerequisites: Network Administration and Advanced Network Administration.

    Is equivalent to Novell Service and Support. Students will learn how to solve real world problems in this hands-on course. Approximately sixty percent of the time in class is spent trouble shooting. The course will also concentrate on the installation of network-related hardware and the prevention, diagnosis, and resolution of hardware related networking problems. Prerequisites: Network Administration, Advanced Network Administration, Network Installation and Configuration, and Networking Technologies.

    This course is designed to teach and improve personal computer and troubleshooting skills necessary to function as a PC support, PC repair, or Help Desk technician. Topics include PC system's overview, CPU's, primary and secondary storage, video monitors, printers, and troubleshooting and repair techniques.
