Available: fall 1 Cr. Hr Utilizing CSI vehicles, components and industry service information, students participate in interactive classroom and lab exercises on vehicle identification using VIN and production codes, referencing replacement parts information and labor operations for damaged vehicles using collision estimating guides, and properly record data gathered onto damage reports, repair orders, work orders, etc. Familiarization with computerized estimating software and interpretation of computer generated damage reports will be introduced. Human relations skills necessary to interact with customers, employers, and co-workers are emphasized.

Hrs Utilizing CSI vehicles, components and service information, students participate in interactive classroom and lab exercises on the repair of a moderate to heavily damaged vehicle using specialized frame and unibody measuring, anchoring, and pulling equipment. The student will use special welding techniques and corrosion preventive materials as required to restore the vehicle as closely as possible to pre-collision condition. The student will use the most up-to-date equipment and materials available or equipment and materials the sponsoring dealer/independent collision shop requests them to use.
