Co-requisite: MATH 1113 Designed for the student with superior pre-college chemistry preparation. Principles of chemistry will be explored in an integrated class/laboratory setting. Topics will include reactions and reaction stoichiometry, atomic and molecular structure, chemical bonding, properties of solids, liquids, and gases, solutions, equilibria, acids and bases, solubility, thermodynamics and kinetics, and electrochemistry. Material will be discussed in greater detail and with a higher degree of mathematical rigor than in CHEM 1211K and CHEM 1212K. May not be taken for credit after successful completion of CHEM 1212K.
