Theory will be covered in this introductory course, which will be followed by Nail Technology II next quarter. Topics for this course include: hygiene, personality, receptionist, bacteriology, anatomy of hand/foot, nail structure, nail diseases and disorders. Textbook is required.

Modules include: choosing for myself, choosing in my environment, choosing with others, self-esteem, freedom from work disruptive behavior, courtesy, emotional maturity, conscientiousness, trustworthiness, long term job commitment and safety on the job.
