The course focuses on theory, design and Web construction, along with information architecture concepts, Web project management, and scenario development and performance evaluations.

The course emphasizes designing a Graphical User Interface (GUI) via visual programming techniques, creating applets that will run on the World Wide Web, and creating applications that run on local machines. Students will create a fully functioning quiz program that tests user on local machines and the web.
