CREDITS: .10 This 6 hour course is designed for anyone who owns, operates, or serves in an establishment which serves alcoholic beverages. Students who complete this course will receive state certifications as alcoholic beverages servers for a period of three years. Topics include recognition and prevention of intoxication inothers, effective prevention of alcohol related problems, and identificaton and handling of underage people who are already intoxicated Note: Many insurance companies provide discounts on liability insurance to establishments whose employees are TIPS trained. In thirs-party liquor liability lawsuits. Tips Provides a "Best whose employees are TIPS trained. In third -party liquor liability lawsuits. TIPS provides a "Best Effort" defense.

CREDITS: .10 This 40 hour course meets the requirements established by the Georgia Board of Private Detective and Security Agencies Topics include instruction in the role of law enforcement, laws of arrest, mechanics of arrest, search and seizure, and principal Georgia misdeameanors and felonies. In addition class instruction includes surveillance, proper note taking and report writing, interviewing suspects and witnesses, Georgia criminal procedure, rules of evidence, and court procedures Additionally the course covers Georgia juvenile code, self-defense, crime scene searches Photography, recognizing and handling abnormal prople, crowd and mob control, and terminology involving sexual deviates. Weapons firing-range participation is optional but suggested . Firing-range feews are paid by the student. A final segment of the class will be devoted ro filling out and processing the paperwork necessary to secure a Georgia state PI or security license.
