The nurse practitioner practicum experience provides the student an opportunity to assume responsibility for the primary health care services of individuals and families under the supervision of an established nurse practitioner and/or physician preceptor. This course focuses on clinical reasoning and decision-making skills. This course will also serve as an intorduction to the research process with an emphasis on the relationship of research and its relevance to nursing practice.
