Students learn the basic concepts of accounting and finance in the health care organization. Included in the course is a refresher on accounting principles. Students are taught the following areas of finance: financial statements, financial analysis and control, characteristics of the financial enviroment, analysis of financial information, management of capital, budgeting, and decision analysis.
