Topics include: disease states; treatment modalities; pharmacy side effects and drug interactions; controlled substances, physician orders; patient profiles; pharmacy data systems; job readiness; and legal requirements.

Topics include: dispensing responsibilities; physician orders; controlled substances; hyper alimentation; chemotherapy; patient profiles; pharmacy data systems; ophthalmic preparations; and hospital, retail and home health pharmacy techniques.

Prerequisites: PHR 100, PHR 101 Orients students to the clinical environment and provides experiences with the basic skills necessary for the pharmacy technician. Topics include: aseptic and sterile techniques, storage and control, documentation, inventory, filing, disinfection, and medication delivery.

Prerequisite: MAT 191 or MAT 196 Introduces the student to the basic laws of physics. Topics include: Newtonian mechanics, fluids, heat, optics, light, sound, electricity, magnetism, and modern physics.

Prerequisite/Corequisite:CIS 191, MAT 191 and MAT 193 Introduces the classical theories of mechanics. Topics include: measurements and systems of units; Newton's laws; work, energy, and power; impulse and momentum; one- and two-dimensional motion; and mechanical equilibrium. Laboratory exercises supplement class work. Computer use is an integral part of class and laboratory assignments.

Prerequisite: Provisional admission This course provides an introduction to the construction trades, the skills required to succeed in construction, tools, and job site safety. This course also provides certification in CPR and First Aid. Topics include: introduction to the construction trades; ethics, communication, and attitudes; use and care of hand and power tools; job site safety; and CPR and first aid.

Prerequisite: Provisional admission Explores the science of materials and the mechanics related to the pipe trades. Topics include: properties and characteristics of water; hydraulics and pneumatics; mechanics; metals, alloys, and synthetics; corrosion; and basic electrical theory.
