Prerequisites: GIS 1103 This course includes an in-depth survey of the various ways that GIS applications are being used in science (geography, geology, and meteorology), government (city, county, state, and federal) and business (marketing). Topics will include data acquisition, accuracy, spatial analysis, and presentation techniques necessary for various GIS applications.

Prerequisite: GIS 1103 This course provides a comprehensive study of GIS applicable to cartography including cartographic principles, data acquisition methods used in map production, and methods of basemap development. Techniques used in GIS base map development are introduced using hands-on exercises.

Prerequisite: GIS 1101 This course examines the principles of database design and management including conversion fundamentals and modeling techniques. Topics include database integration concepts, development of user interface, troubleshooting databases, relational database concepts, and database design in GIS.

Prerequisite: GIS 1101 This course provides the opportunity for students to use the latest Internet mapping tools to deliver GIS and Location Based Services via the Internet. Students will be trained to deliver GIS applications on the Internet using a variety of tools and emerging standards.

Prerequisite: Program Admission A study of the nutritional needs of the individual, including older adults. Topics include: nutrients, standard and modified diets, nutrition throughout the lifespan, and client education.
