Biochemical basis for deficiency and toxicity of micronutrients are explored.

Prerequisite: Permission of instructor The Nike/Jaguars Foundation Community Scholars Program is a partnership between the Jaguars Foundation and the UNF Honors Program that has existed since 1998. Students in this class serve as mentors to at-risk high school students selected by community organizations that participate in the "Honor Rows" program sponsored by the Jaguars Foundation. In addition to tutoring their mentees once a week and participating in other activities with their mentees throughout the semester, students engage in coursework that addresses the social, economic and cultural dimenstions of inner city life.
