This course will use an investigative approach to instruct graduate students on the subject of aquatic toxicology, the effects of toxic substances on aquatic organisms and their ecosystems. Students will receive hands-on instruction in this field by conducting semester-long group projects on the effects of environmental pollutants in selected St. Johns River wildlife using both field and laboratory methodologies. Experiential training in aquatic toxicology will be complemented by lectures and discussions on general concepts in this field, with special focus on how these concepts relate to group projects
