Emphasis will be on the student's major instrument. A natural by product of this study will include knowledge of those reference books, which evaluate or list solos by difficulty level, texts, and information sources. The course activities are intended to cause the students to be more knowledgeable of the wind and percussion literature, and to increase the ability to discriminate between compositions of value and those of marginal quality.
