    This course provides the vocational student with the skills and knowledge to receive Associate in Science credit for EVR 1809, Industrial and Hazardous Waste; EVR 1895, Environmental Pollutants, EVR 1230, Air Pollution; and EVR 1015, Hazardous Materials and the Environment. The students must have satisfactorily completed VCC courses; Introduction to Industrial Hazardous Waste, Identification of Environmental Pollutants, Introduction to Environmental Air Pollution. (2 hour lecture) TSCA, FIFRA and clean air and water issues. Emphasis will be placed on developing methods and strategies to ensure regulatory compliance. Determine applicability of federal, state and local regulations dealing with hazardous materials. Agencies examined include the Department of Transportation (DOT), the National Regulatory Commission (NRC), and Department of Natural Resources (DNR). Prerequisite: EVR 1640. Special fee.   • EVR 2613: Hazardous Materials Emergency Response

    This is a follow-up course to EVR 1633. In this course, students will learn how to size up a situation and how to determine needed resources. They will learn to identify NFPA warning signs and what the signs mean.
