Previously ITAL 101 Beginning First Year Italian Introduces the fundamentals of vocabulary and grammar focusing on the development of four basic skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Emphasis is placed on active communication aimed at the development of oral and comprehension skills. Various aspects of Italian culture are presented. After successful completion, students are encouraged to continue with ITAL 122 (prev ITAL 102).
