In-depth exploration of the formal elements of the three-dimensional world: space, form, shape, time, light and how to perceive them. Encourages creative analysis and investigation of sculpture, architecture, design and the crafts through a problem-solving approach. Six studio hours weekly and independent study. Required for art majors but also may be taken by any student who wishes to understand the underlying nature of art.
