This course introduces the core knowledge and methodologies of forensic anthropology, a field that focuses on the discovery, recovery, and identification of human remains. Students will receive a broad overview of this growing area of research and practice within biological anthropology and of how it is applied in medico-legal contexts. In the process, students will gain an understanding of the interdisciplinary nature of forensic anthropology as well as the ethical and legal issues that are involved in this work.
