This course fosters critical thinking skills related to school counseling practices, including historical and contemporary racism in PreK-12 schools, racial/ethnic identity development, and antiracist approaches to school counseling, including relationship-building, advocating for students, and working at the systemic level to address racism, bias, and oppression in schools. Offered every semester. Prerequisite: EDC 621.
