The focus of the course pertains to student learning, teaching, curriculum, assessment, and technology in elementary mathematics classrooms for pre-service teachers. Students will extend their understanding of mathematics content and gain an appreciation for the interplay between theory and practice in mathematics education. Prerequisites: Declared ELEM, ELEM/SpEd or TES; 2.75 cum. GPA; 2.5 content GPA; grade of C or better in EDST 3100/3101 or EDCI 5550; completion of required content courses in major.
