Description:

This course will focus on but not be limited to the basic readiness skills for college-level reading and studying. Skills such as time management, textbook previewing, concentration, vocabulary development, memory development, and study strategies will be stressed. Along with the study skills students will develop skills in identifying topics and main ideas, selection and isolation of major supporting details and minor supporting details, and reading test and exam questions. Students will use content specific information to develop skills in reading and studying.
