Focuses on the development of mathematical ideas relevant to K-12 mathematics. Some examples include episodes in the development of number systems, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, number theory, and analytic geometry. Some time spent on multicultural issues, sometimes referred to as 'ethnomathematics.' Must be at least junior standing to enroll. This class is available for graduate credit.
