This course focuses on the fundamentals of Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) spray transfer and Gas Metal Arc Welding - Pulse (GMAW-P). Topics will cover various machine settings, additional safety requirements compared to short-circuit transfer, shielding gases used, and various electrodes used for carbon steel, aluminum, and stainless steel. Students will practice welding with GMAW and GMAW-P on steel, aluminum, and stainless steel in all positions with fillet and/or groove welds. Prerequisite: None.
