This is the second course in the Music Theory and Ear Training sequence for music majors. It builds on the theory skills of Music Theory 1 and introduces ear training skills. Theory topics include texture, melodic concepts and structures, diatonic harmony, melody harmonization, analysis, and composition. Ear Training skills include dictation and sight-singing of basic melodies, rhythms, and harmonic progressions. Prerequisites: MUSC 1070 with a grade of C or higher
