Introduces students to the nomenclature, structures and functions of cellular metabolites and vitamins. Knowledge of chemical structure will be applied to cellular reactions in various tissues of domestic animals. Students will integrate cellular and whole-animal metabolism through introduction to metabolic regulation. Ruminants and non-ruminants will be contrasted.
