The development of the understanding needed by a marketing manager; the implementation and evaluation of marketing programs which promise to obtain the strategic marketing objectives of the firm; an analysis of the marketing conditions affecting the firm and the problems to be overcome in obtaining desired objectives; the development of short-term marketing program.
