EE 326. Introduction to PLC and Virtual Instruments. 3(3,0). An introductory course to Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Virtual Instruments (VI) , focusing on the underlying principles of how PLCs work and providing practical information and skills about programming, and troubleshooting a PLC system, multipurpose personal-computer-based approach to real-time instrumentation. Interfacing using Laboratory Virtual Instrument Engineering Workbench (LabVIEW) for data acquisition (DAQ), transmission and analysis. Prerequisite: EE 312.
