(3-6 credits)(Prereq: A grade of 'C' or better in at least 3 lecture/lab pairs pairs from MSCI*301/L, MSCI*302/L, MSCI*304/L, and MSCI*305/L, or permission of instructor. An approved contract must be submitted) Each student plans and executes an original research project with guidance and supervision of a marine science faculty member. Results are presented in written and oral form. Senior thesis is strongly suggested for students intending to pursue graduate studies.
