This is a course covering a broad foundation in the concepts of modern information systems, information processing, and information technologies. It provides an overview of the key technology components that make up modern information systems and the processes and issues involved in the development of information systems. Coverage of the fundamentals of information system and information technology concepts, strategies, and skills; these will include programming logic and coding, database design and development, web design and website development, communication and networking, IT support, large system design, and information system project management. Each chapter introduces students to the different areas of computing and helps decide a pathway for a technical future.
