Advanced preparation for participation in intercollegiate mock trial competitions. Emphasis on advanced topics and techniques related to evidence, trial procedure, objections, and witness examination. Extensive hands-on practice in arguing a legal case. Repeatable up to 6 credits subject to graduation restrictions. **COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES (CLOs)** At the successful conclusion of this course: 1. Students will demonstrate critical thinking skills by performing successfully in mock trial competitions that require them to respond to new arguments and situations during the trial. 2. Students will strengthen poise and oral communication skills through performing mock trial simulations as attorneys and witnesses. 3. Students will acquire teamwork skills as they prepare mock trial cases with other students. Prerequisites: Prerequisite: CJ 3270 (can be concurrently enrolled) AND CJ 3650 (can be concurrently enrolled) both with a grade C- or higher.
