It also fulfills the requirements for CRLA (College Reading and Learning Association) national tutor II certification. The course gives a practical background for academic assistance and teaches student tutors how to empower other students with the skills and the confidence needed to succeed academically. **COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES (CLOs) At the successful conclusion of this course, students will be able to: 1. Apply tutoring best practices. 2. Create effective tutoring sessions. 3. Tailor tutoring strategies to meet the needs of diverse learning groups, having various characteristics. 4.
