Healthcare Financial Analysis is an in-depth three-credit-hour course designed to equip early-career healthcare professionals pursuing a Master of Health Administration (MHA) with essential healthcare finance and accounting knowledge and skills. Over 14 weeks, students will explore the multifaceted aspects of financial analysis in healthcare organizations, including revenue cycle management and health plans. The course aims to introduce participants to the intricacies of healthcare financial management, enabling them to interpret financial statements, analyze revenue operations, and make informed financial decisions. Through an integrated approach, students will gain valuable insights into the dynamic landscape of healthcare financial analysis, positioning them for success as future leaders in the ever-evolving healthcare industry. ***COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES (CLOs)** At the successful conclusion of this course students will: 1. Evaluate and critique the roles and responsibilities of finance that healthcare organizations and managers can use for effective decision-making. 2. Construct spreadsheets and financial reports used for monitoring, control, reporting, and oversight in applying basic financial management skills. 3.
