Second half of the fundamentals of fluid mechanics required for Mechanical Engineering majors who have previously taken a course at another institution. Students learn to analyze compressible flow and turbomachines. This class meets with MECH 3700 starting after mid-terms. **COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES (CLOs)*** At the successful conclusion of this course students will: 1. Model and analyze turbomachines such as pumps and propellers. 2. Build and analyze representative models of real-world steady-state and transient fluid systems using analytical expressions and/or numerical analysis. Prerequisites: Instructor permission required.
