This course will explore sites, like Mycenae, Athens, Olympia, and Delphi, and historical impacts, like the Persian War, spread of democracy, and Alexander the Great's campaigns, to study and understand the art and architecture created. We will approach these topics through the archaeology of the Greek world from the bronze age through the end of the hellenistic period (ca. 3000-30 BCE).
