Motor course teaches control of three-phase AC electric motors found in industrial applications, starting, reversing, jogging, and motor principles. Coverage of motor selection, diagrams, motor control devices, operation, installation, and troubleshooting. Course includes motor starter circuits, contactors, reduced voltage starting techniques, relays, braking, and variable frequency AC drives. It is recommended students complete TEAM 1200 prior to taking this course.
