This course explores the complex pathophysiological processes related to immunologic function, cardiovascular function, and the integration and regulation of the human system. Learners will use assessment data to evaluate critical patient indicators as the basis for prioritizing care. Learners will examine expected medical and nursing management of clients experiencing disruptions in health. The nursing process, clinical reasoning, and EBP (evidence-based practice) nursing actions are integrated throughout the course, forming the foundation for assisting clients across the lifespan experiencing disruptions in the health-illness continuum.
