Introduction to Dance is an exploration of the practice as an embodied form of inquiry and expression that lives within the interconnected worlds of ritual, social/ cultural and artistic practice. This survey course will allow students to analyze a survey of diverse dance forms within their cultural, historical, aesthetic, theoretical and personal contexts.
